We’re delighted to be fully open and free of COVID-19 restrictions here at Simply Race, despite being free of restrictions we are still maintaining a high cleaning standard to ensure the safety of our guests, there are lots of big events to look forward to at our new venue in Central Milton Keynes over the next few weeks.

SRES: American cars, Indian track!

After COVID forced us to abandon the 2020 Simply Race Endurance Series after just one round, we’re finally able to get our fifth season underway on Sunday 19th September.

SRES runs over a variety of tracks all over the world in races of varying lengths, for our 2021/22 season opener, we’re using the super-fast Daytona Prototype Cadillac, replacing our long-time favorite, the Oreca LMP2. This is a powerful car that’s a challenge for even the most experienced drivers, and to throw an extra element into the strategy mix, its fuel tank is relatively small, meaning pit stop planning will be vital.

The race will take place over 12 hours on the Buddh International Circuit, host of the Indian Grand Prix between 2011 and 2013. Some top Esports teams like Fordzilla and the ever-present Radicals Online are already signed up, and we have a couple of spots left on the grid. The entry fee is £240 per team (between two and eight drivers), and practice starts at 9am. The race will run from midday until midnight, and will run into the dark. If you want to test yourself against some top sim racers with realistic tyre wear, fuel usage, strategy and daylight, now’s the time to book your place on the grid. For details and entry please visit: www.simplyrace.co.uk/sres

SRBC: Who will take the title?

On Sunday 5th September, we’ll be hosting the final rounds of the Simply Race Clio Cup and Touring Car Championships on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. These events will take place one after the other, and we still have spots available for each event for regular drivers and one-off participants alike.

In the Touring Car event in the afternoon, Callum Cripps has a comfortable lead in the points table, although his title win isn’t quite in the bag. As usual Lewis Manley and Matt Richards will be among his main rivals, but there are still some grid spaces on offer for experienced drivers who want to try the cut-and-thrust of touring car racing.

In the morning, the Clio Cup series comes to a close. Ben Brown has already secured the title, but there is bound to be great battles throughout the field on a long, flowing circuit that always generates action. If you’ve got experience of sim driving and you want to try out organised racing for the first time, then a Clio Cup race meeting is an ideal place to start.

Meanwhile, in real-life racing....

Our very own Will Tregurtha has taken the lead of the DTM Trophy series after taking a win and a third place in the recent round at the Lausitzring in Germany and a decent showing in Nurburgring, he holds a 3 point lead in the standings, his next round takes place at The Red Bull Ring in Austria on the 4/5 September. Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards

We're extremely excited to announce that we've been nominated for MK's Top Attraction at the Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards, this is a big honor for the company and we're up against some absolutely incredible competition! For more information and to vote please visit: www.mkfla.com/vote-now

Hey everyone - it's been a while so we thought we'd give you a bit of an update to our progress in bringing the new site to life.

The old Stacey Bushes site looks like we were never there!

Since we announced back in November that we were moving to our new site in central Milton Keynes, the team have been hard at work to hand the Stacey Bushes site back to the landlord whilst simultaneously signing the paperwork and planning the build of the 12th street location.

There was a lot of hard work that went into uninstalling and moving all of the equipment and making the "dilapidations" match our previous landlord's expectations. We want to thank everyone that was able to assist us in this task, you were all a huge help in ensuring the move went smoothly and we'll be able to reopen after this current lockdown.

We can finally confirm the new address of the site (make sure you save this!): Simply Race, Unit G3, 12 Garrick Walk, Theatre District, Milton Keynes, MK9 3PT. For those of you familiar with MK's Theatre District, we are opposite Locked in a Room!

So where are we with setting up the new site? The landlord had some completion works to make the space fit for occupation, which were finished in mid-February to allow our builders in to put in all of the sim centre specifics that we're going to need. Their first job was to open up the space and remove the previous tenant's ill-placed walls, relocate the toilet block and replaster the space.

It may not look like much yet but we're getting there!

Next up? Well there's painting, floor levelling, lighting, running of all the cabling... and that's before we can install a single pod. Importantly, (and this will come as a relief to many of you) we're also having state-of-the-art air conditioning installed to keep the climate well controlled but that will be coming a little later in the build process.

Still plenty of work to do but we are still firmly on-track for opening in line with government guidance on the 17th May. As such, we are re-opening our booking system and you'll receive a 10% discount if you book ahead of reopening (automatically applied at checkout). You can also purchase vouchers if you're not sure when you'll be able to visit.

Currently the booking system is restricted to 6 per group, as per government regulations. However, if you have more than 6 drivers that want to race together, then you can make two or three bookings - we will need to keep you separate in the venue but on the virtual race track there's no such thing as social distancing!

Before we sign off, a big thank you to our build team - Creative Property Solutions MK and MJ Electrical for all their help.

We can't wait to see you all again soon. Stay safe, and we'll see you on the track in no time.

To all of our friends, fans and customers,

We have been wanting to tell you this for some time but there are some changes afoot at Simply Race. It has been a challenging year for all of us, particularly in the live events industry but we are determined to end the year on a high.

Simply Race will not be re-opening its doors in Stacey Bushes after the current lockdown ends.

Instead, we have been working hard on some incredibly exciting plans to bring a new, improved, Simply Race 2.0 to 12th Street (Theatre District) in Milton Keynes!

We are currently making all of the arrangements to move all of the equipment, finalise our plans and expect to be open in the first quarter of 2021.

We will still be issuing vouchers whilst we are in the process of moving so you can still gift the ones you love an incredible (and likely even better) Simply Race experience. These purchases will lock in the current prices, be valid for 2 years for point of purchase, and help support Simply Race as it goes through the process of building our new location. You can purchase gift vouchers here: www.simplyrace.co.uk/vouchers

From all of us at Simply Race, we want to thank all of our customers, friends and family for an incredible 6 year journey so far. We have welcomed tens of thousands of drivers, won several awards and had many millions of miles driven on our simulators.

We hope that you are as excited as we are to continue the adventure in 2021 with a new, improved location in the heart of Milton Keynes.

From,

Mike, Grant and Ben
