Our very own in-house racing pro Will Tregurtha has finished off a stellar season in the DTM Trophy, the GT series that supports the legendary pan-European championship. He finished third and second in the final two races of the year at the Norisring street circuit in Nuremberg, Germany, helping him to second place in the final standings in his CV Performance Group Mercedes-AMG.

Over a 14-race season, Will claimed two wins (one each at the Lausitzring and the Red Bull Ring) and took 11 podium finishes in all. Congratulations on a great season, and here’s to bigger and better things in 2022!

Sim tech

At Simply Race, we’re constantly striving to enhance our fleet of simulators, and we’ve been able to deploy a variety of technologies from our partners Sim 3D to give you experiences as realistic as possible. These include:

● Fan Link: high-airflow fans that give you the effect of winds when driving an open-wheel car

● Rumble Link: pedal vibration technology that gives you feel on the brakes and when the rear loses grip, for more instinctive driving

● LED Screens: light boxes attached to our monitors that give flag and race information to drivers in real time

● Paddles: magnetic shifters that demand more force but return quicker, to better replicate real-world upshifts and downshifts

As our resident pro Will puts it: "It’s absolutely mega. I’ve raced a Nissan GTR GT3 at Silverstone and the paddles feel exactly the same. It’s really nice."
